2wd suspension lift

I just recently bought a 2004 ford f150 2wd xlt and I plan on putting a 6inch lift on but so far from the very few pictures ive seen 2wd lifted on 6inch aren't very tall. so one does anyone have some more pictures of 2wd lifts on 6 inch suspension or 6in suspension and 3inch body lift? and secondly can anyone help me to figure out which suspension lift is going to be the tallest. im currently looking at the skyjacker due to cost and the two people on here I have searched for and found, said they like it with no problems. is a stage II lift going to be higher or is it still 6inches just adjustable struts? I will probably end up going with a body lift afterwards to get a little more height. and if anyone has fender heights for 6inch lifts on 2wds id appreciate it.

All 6" kits will be just about the same. Stage II kits will come with adjustable struts that will allow you to bump up to 8" later on with the addition of a leveling kit. Fabtech seems to be pretty popular as always. Not too many trucks out there that are 04+ though with body lifts because the install is pretty hard and definitely cost some money if you can't do it yourself. I have a few pictures of 2wd 04-08's in the sticky at the top of this section as well as some links to show off threads for them that you can look through.

I don't understand what the big deal about the body lifts are, I installed one on my chevy Silverado 1500 2 years ago and had no problem it was an 01, is it gonna be a lot harder? ive looked through most of those threads and checked out your sticky, but maybe you can help me what do people mean when they say they added a 2inch AS to their 6inch fabtech?

Body lift difficulty varies by make of the truck and year range. Install for the 97-03 f150s was a lot easier than the 04+ ones. Give the instructions a read over and you'll see if your up to it, performance accessories has all the instructions on their site.

AS means AutoSpring. They make leveling kits. Basically if you have a 6" kit with the adjustable struts (no spacer) and pretty much factory angles you can add a 2" leveling kit to the lift to get 8" total and have the same angles as a truck with a 2" leveling kit which are still good.

If you have a lift with the 6" spacer up front (majority of the stage I kits) you can by leveling struts such as the bilsteins and use them instead of the stock struts and crank them up to 2" to also get 8" total lift overall.

okay I think I understand but want to be clear, so if I buy the skyjacker lift which uses a coil spacer to reach the height, if i buy bilsteins adjustable struts and crank them up i will get 8inches of lift instead of 6 or do i buy adjustable struts and still use a spacer?
EDIT: now that i see you have to get a shop press to do the spindle, i may go with the procomp just so i don't have to deal with that crap. would this lift be able to use AS or does it come with it i cant tell for sure i think it does. http://4wheelonline.com/Products.asp...roductId=68634

Also, for reference, the 04-08 F-150 4x2's sit two inches lower than the 4x4's. So a 4x2 with a 6 inch suspension lift is gonna be the same height as a 4x4 with a 4 inch suspension lift. And yes, the 04-08 F-150's are one of the hardest trucks to install a body lift on.

Yes it's the spacer lift. I'd love to take measurements for you but I'm stuck in Afghanistan at the moment

It's the Basic kit. I don't know the measurements off hand anymore, but I'll try to remember to get some later for you. Here's a couple pictures. I appreciate the compliments, hope your truck turns out how you want it to!

Thanks bud! I appreciate it.
I had a shop install the leveling kit (and the rest of the suspension) I put the bushwackers on with my buddy and his father... It was not a fun or easy thing to do.
