Leveling Kit +

I am interested in leveling my 2000 Ford f150 (5.4 4WD Extended Cab)
Aside from the wheels and tires which will come later down the road, and obviously the new torsion keys, what else do I need. I was looking at one from rough country and they also include new shocks, could someone just clarify this for me?

First off welcome to the site!

And no offense man, but you need to do a little more research. Aftermarket torsion keys are probably the worst thing you can put on, unless you like replacing ball joints, tie rod ends, and cv axles constantly. Oh, and the hassle of most likely not being able to get it aligned.

You can crank your stock keys for free, still keep everything in spec, and be able to get it aligned properly.

And if your shocks aren't worn out, then the stock ones are fine, if they are worn then any stock length shock will work.

Thanks, yeah I know I need to do a little more research. I just wanted to get a general idea before I dove into it any deeper. I really would like to lift the truck, but right now I can't afford it, or the bad MPG either.

Mpg is gonna drop the most from the tires, not the lift.

What do you usually get with your truck, I see it's lifted with larger tires.

I average around 13-14 mixed city and highway with 35's and a 3.55 rear end, so depending on your gear ratio it could be a little less for you since your 4x4.
