How to replace sway bar end link?

One of my end links has gone bad so I'm going to replace both. I have the tools to replace them I just need to know how. For example:
Do I need to jack the front end up or do I leave it sitting on the ground?
Do I need to support the sway bar in any way?
Can I just undo the bolts and switch the end links out?
Any help will be appreciated. I just need some tips and advice.

You can jack it up if you want, but you need to tighten the bolts on the ground so the truck is on it's own weight. Otherwise just basically unbolt and swap them out! Takes all of like 15-20 minutes haha.

Is the sway bar under any tension while sitting on a level surface?

Not enough where it's hard to get out, when I did mine I was able to push up on the sway bar to get it out.

you can do it with the truck on the ground. unbolt the end links from the lower A arm then the whole sway bar rotates to take the end links off. mine on my 04 were seized to the A arm though, hitting it did nothing. I ended up having to heat them up and the fell right out.
