Stuck bolts, can't lift it!! 2004
So I'm trying to install my procomp lift kit in my 2004 F150 and am stuck. I'm wondering if anyone else ran into issues of removing the lower control arm mounting bolts from the subframe? Currently they are semi free, however they are stuck in the rubber bushings and try to rotate the whole control arm. Any ideas on how to free these up??? need any ideas asap, it's my only working car for the next week lol Thanks!!!!
i ran into this problem when putting on my rough country lift. i tried beating the bolt out with a hammer, then with a bigger hammer. pb blaster, hammer again.. tried to heat up the bolt. nope. i ended up cutting the bolt out with a grinder then pressing the bushing out and replacing it.
Lube it up real good, and just keep spraying it, use an impact wrench to get it turning get it out enough with a hammer and than use a long open end wrench to "pry" the bolt out while you are impacting it that worked for me after nothing else no hammer or impact would get it out without using the open end.
I thought I was going to have to torch them out but this worked phenomenally. We had to start it with a super thin snap on open end and than move up when we had the room to a thicker open end.

thanks guys! I'm gonna give it another go this weekend and try that prying at it idea. I've got a buddy bringing over an impact gun, air chissel, and a large air compressor this weekend. hopefully this weekend works! It's been on stands for 2 weekends now =(
