Educate me...which level kit?
Educate me...which level kit?
Hey guys im new to the forum, and ive looked through the searches, but nothing has really helped me. I found a guy who traded me even, his 04 150crew cab lariat 2wd for my 99 cclb f350 with the 7.3. Before you say anything, the 7.3 had 235k miles, diesel is $4 a gallon, and the heaviest thing i tow is my 5k lb boat, so no real need for it. The new truck only has 94k on it, and has all th bells and whistles, along with all JL audio door speakers, and an MTX Thunderform box
Anway, im looking to level the 150, im done with lifting my trucks, but a more level stance would be much nicer. I was looking on Ebay, and found a few different variations of leveling kits, and a huge variation on pricing. Is there any difference in these, and what do you guys suggest? Ive found plastic, aluminum, and steel. Any experiences you guys have had would be helpful, im looking to stay with as close to stock ride as possible.

I have a hell bent steel 2.5 on my 4x4 05 and no problems so far. A lot of guys go with auto spring because they have an offset to their leveling kits that help out with the upper control arm angles. You shouldn't really pay for than $75 for the kit and there a couple of write ups on the site that can help.
