Leveling kit smart? If so, which?

I'll start this post off by saying I'm a college student who doesn't have a ton of expendable income to throw into my truck. Also, I'm making payments on it, and I expect it to last me for quite a few more years. It is a 2004 Lariat SuperCrew with almost 80k miles on it (picture below). I would really like to level it out and take care of the hideous forward rake, however I was wondering if it will seriously decrease the longevity of the parts in the frontend... I was also curious as to which leveling setup seems to be the best, right now I'm leaning towards a Rough Country 2.5" spacer. http://www.roughcountry.com/ford_f150_leveling.html

P.S. one more thing, is this going to look dumb with my brand new 275/65 R18 BFG Rugged Trails?

Thanks guys!

^^^This sounds almost exactly like me haha! I'm also in college and just got my Supercrew

Anyways, I too am leaning towards a 2.5" level in the near future. From looking around the forum, it seems to take care of the "rake" which I too do not care for.

I think your new tires should look fine. You'll probably want to get something a little bigger after the level, I know I will.

Autospring 2" is what you want. If you need new shocks look into the bilstein 5100 or the rancho quick lifts. You can find the AS on eBay. I have had both with zero issues. And, any leveling kit on the market accelerates wear on front end parts. Good luck.

The more you go, the faster the front end components will wear. I went with a 2 inch on my 04 screw.
