'07 FX4 w/cracked coil spring

Hey All,
83k and my pass. side coil spring is cracked on the bottom.
Anyone else have this issue?

I don't plow or off road so not sure why this happened.

I have a 2.5" Hell Bent Steel leveling kit.
Should I do OEM struts and re-use the leveling kit or go aftermarket struts w/built in lift?
Any words about the Fox units (i think there are 3 different models)?
Don't want to spend much more than OEM $ for nice, quality units for a street application w/no plowing.
Thanks,

So after some looking around I guess the cracked coil isn't too rare.
I don't have an OE replacement cost yet but the Fox racing strut is $369/ea (FOX985-02-007).
It has a preload adjustment to give lift but that changes the ride quality. Rancho makes a complete assembly but they use a built in "spacer" that changes preload to give lift so that is definitely out regardless of price and the cool damping adjustment. I don't know how 1 *** does both compression and rebound adjustment but I'm dumb to this stuff.
I'm going to put my HBS leveler back on so the spring wont be affected (preload). Who else makes a complete kit? Bilstein has shocks but I didn't see a complete strut. King has like $600/ea. unit and Race Runner is expensive too @$550/ea..
Anyone have another brand they would recommend for a replacement strut?
Do I have my facts straight?
Thanks

Happened to me too, 83k and it snapped. When I discovered of I remember when I must have happened. Heard a bang at a stop light and after that it rode real harsh

I'm thinking you can buy oem factory coil, just the coil, and keep what leveling kit you have. That will probably be the cheapest route.

Thanks guys.
Gonna do both struts to freshen things up a bit up front. The extra labor to pull the springs isn't worth it in my opinion.
How many miles are the OE ones "good" for anyways?

RockAuto.com has the complete units from Monroe and a couple others $65 to $110 or so each

Just found my drivers side is broken. That sucks! Almost 9 years old and 97k, I guess I shouldn't complain.
