Steering Play

How much steering play is normal in the wheel? I would like more accurate on-center steering as I've been commuting back and fourth from school, and my truck kinda wanders in the lane. With the truck running and parked, I have about 3/4" of free rotation measured at the end of the wheel.

Stock, 165K, and the only new parts are sway bar end links, shocks, and hub bearings. With the truck jacked up, I can't really wiggle the wheel left and right.

Another little tidbit, when I'm reversing with the steering at full lock, I get one small "click" when I brake and the suspension moves a bit. Other than that, no squeaks or clunks in any other type of driving.

If I do buy new parts, should I just buy all Moog parts?

Dont know what is normal, i would check the tie rods, ball joints, pitman arm, and idler arm to see if there is much play in them, there should be none. also take it to a alingment shop to have it checked. let them tell you what parts need changed, the look on youtube and change them yourself.
