Upgrading to Rancho RS9000 struts

Upgrading to Rancho RS9000 struts
Hey guys,
I've recently bought a pair of Rancho RS999767 adjustable struts for my 2004 FX4. According to there website, these struts are just used to upgrade stock suspension. My plan was to upgrade my OEM struts to the adjustable Rancho's. Just to double check the fitment of this part I emailed Rancho and this is what they told -
"Thank you for contacting Rancho Suspension. The RS999767 is not for your 2005 F150. It is for a 06-08 Lincoln Mark LT truck. Unfortunately we do not offer a front strut that will work on your 2005 F150 with a 2.5" leveling system. We do offer a fully loaded Quick Lift Leveling strut that will raise the front 2.5" and does not need to be used with any other leveling product."
My guess is this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, because I didn't think the 06-08 Lincoln Mark LT has different suspension then my 04'. It also states on the website it is for 04-08 F-150's with 4wd. Any thoughts?
I am running a 2.5" HBS leveling kit. Is anyone running these Rancho RS999767 struts with a leveling kit?
