American Made Monotube Shocks???

I've got a 2000 F-150 Lariat 4x4 that's rollin' around on its original set of shock absorbers. I'd like to treat it to a new set of monotubes, but I want something American made. I hear Bilsteins and KYBs are manufactured in Germany and Japan respectively...but what about Monroe and Gabriel? For those that have purchased and installed them, were they stamped "Made in USA?"

Rancho's I think are made in the US and just came out with a new mono-tube. I don't believe either shock you listed is a mono-tube regardless of where it's made, but can't swear to it. Never cares enough about those brands to investigate. So since you went there, just curious why it has to be made in US? Can't get a quality product anywhere else?? Or do you want American parts on your "American" (sarcasm) truck??

I would think that he would prefer to support Americans instead of the Chinese or some other country.

I may be mistaken but I think KONI's are made is the USA

That was part of my sarcasm part...like that Ford he's driving is all built in the US.

Naw, I got that but it still doesn't mean we can't try to buy Made in USA on the things we want. The problem with that is not a whole lot is made here any longer and it is one of the big reasons we are struggling as a country.

Here is a site that can help you find those types of items though
