Help!!!!

I just got a quote from a local shop to replace my shocks, front springs and rear shackles - $400.00 for labor only!!! That seems way too high. He told me that he estimated 7 hours. I could probably do it in 7 hours and I don't have air tools, a lift, etc. Anyone ever replaced those items themselves? If so, I would really appreciate any install advice/tips on how to do it. The rear seems pretty straight forward, and I am pretty sure I know how to do the front springs. I guess I am just a little nervous working with a truck vs. the cars I have worked on in the past. Thanks in advance!

Way to high

I was quoted for 4-6 drop which C-notch and flip kit, springs and a whole lot more for $849 with parts and labor.

Shocks and Shackles you can do your self with out lifting the truck.

Springs well I would leave that to the pro's.

Good Advice

98 - Good advice on the springs. I can just see the cheap Auto-Zone rental failing and this giant spring destroying something. I am having the shop do just the front end of the truck and I am going to do the rear. Shackles and shocks are pretty easy - should just be a couple of hours worth of work. I agree with you on the springs. $200.00 is well worth it. Thanks.
