Cutting lift spacers/blocks?

I have an 89 F150 with 6" Suspension lift and 3" body lift all around.

I'm looking to take off 1.5-2" in the back.

Took it to a 4x4 shop last weekend and they said they can cut the block in half....

Is that an okay way to do it or should I just go out and get 1.5"/2" blocks and have them replace them with the 3"?

Thanks

id recommend replacing them with the proper size. they could cut them at an angle and mess up the lift.

If they are doing it with a Mill, yes. If they are just going to cut it with a grinder, no as they won't get it perfectly flat. Blocks are cheap enough where it'd probably be cheaper (or cheap enough) to just buy new ones.
