need a bit more lift in the rear

Hey guys i got a 01 f150 with the 3.5 inch spindles and 1.5 inch spacers up front and 3 inch blocks in the back. i thought this would make it pretty level but its a bit nose high. 1 or 2 inches in teh back would be perfect!

Add-a-leaf is an option, but i heard that really roughens up the ride? Thoughts on that?

I'd rather not just replace my 3 inchers with 5 inchers, but it's also a possibility so feel free and replly with links to sites that i can purchase those on.

I'm really interested in a shackle lift for the leaf spring mounts, but i have no idea how these effect integrety and i have no idea where to find some.

help's appreciated!

I'm about to bring the rear of my 05 up today by getting a larger block and an AAL this morning. I've heard an AAL will stiffen the ride a bit, but I'll let you know from experience this afternoon.

A aal will stiffen up the rear, with a short aal being more noticeable than a long aal which ride better. I think however a 4" block in the back should sit you pretty much level, or even a shackle lift will get you closer to level without being too rear high. I have a feeling with only 5" up front a 5" block in the rear will be too much as will an aal.

You can buy shackles from the springtech website for not too bad of a price.

On my ride home from the shop today, I really didn't think my truck rode any stiffer.... Maybe it was just the thrill of having my truck lifted again and I was kind of immune to it... But I'll keep feeling for a difference.

I'd go with a Shackle if you don't tow.

AAL or bags if you tow or have weight in the bed often. I'll be doing bags eventually on mine once i level out the front. Last truck had an AAL and while the ride wasn't bad, i'd prefer a softer ride this go around when unloaded

The long aal would probably be your cheapest and most useful way to go and they really don't stiffen the ride since the springs on these trucks are pretty soft to begin with. I like it especially when I pull my boat or haul something, the rear doesn't sag.
