Got a Quote Today

Went to the local shop today and got a quote to get a little work on my truck. Was given what sounds like a fair price to me ($300 less than a competitor shop) so I'm pretty excited.

Truck is going to be getting just a little bit taller, just have to call them and set an appointment.

Getting a 2" Zone leveling kit put on top of my Fabtech. In the rear I'm taking out my Fabtech 2" block and replacing it with a 5.25" Rough Country Anti-wrap block kit and a 1.5" AAL. Should put me level I hope, Right now I sit about 1.5" low in the rear.

I'm sticking with my 35"s after the lift, I figured 8"s of lift on my 2wd will sit even with a 4wd with a 6" lift, correct me if I'm wrong.

Along with the lift I'm still debating if I want to spring and buy a pair of tow mirrors to throw on too. Could use some thoughts there.

So keep an eye out for a thread in a week or so when hopefully I get this lift done , I'll let y'all know when it is in the shop!

Nice!

I'd hold off on tires til this is done, who knows where you will sit and you could possibly squeeze a 37/1250 in there.

Well I've got about at least 12k left on my tires now. So hopefully they still look fine. I don't want to have to step up to 37s soon. Kind of hoping this lift will help get rid of the rub I have at the moment too.

first off, i didn't know your truck was 2wd lol
second off, nice! sounds like a nice solid plan. how do those anti-wrap blocks work?
third, i'd say no to the tow mirrors if i were you. they just look retarded on half ton trucks IMO

I'd do the tow mirrors with PTM caps. Get your bumpers done PTM too and you would have a even better truck!

It's basically got a wider base that holds onto the rear axle better to prevent any axle wrap when you accelerate/tow/offroading etc.

If I do get tow mirrors I plan on getting the caps ptm. And if not, well I still kinda want to ptm my mirrors. However the bumpers will probably stay chrome. I like the black look, but still want a little bit of chrome accents through out. Plus paint chips/noticeable scratches, chrome bumper not so much.

Tow mirrors look better on lifted F150's IMHO. I like 'em. and they're on my short list, but I need new tires in the next few months...

I say get them and post pics!

If I do end up getting them it will be at least a few weeks. Have to let the bank account recover after paying for the suspension work!

Got my cash out of the bank this afternoon so I can drop the truck off bright and early tomorrow morning

Can you tell I'm excited about getting my truck lifted more?

Well the trucks in the shop. Now it's the waiting game to get called to pick it up! Which should be near 4.
