Odd problem with Rancho 9000XL

Okay I took advantage of the 100 debit card and a discount card I had at an auto parts store near me and ordered 4 new Shocks. Rancho 9000XL

RS999234 (rear)
RS999233 (front)

Now the rears went on like a piece of cake no problems,

How ever the front do NOT fit, I contacted Ranco and they went over verifying I got the right bushings and shocks which I knew I did as he bushing package and shocks are stamped.

The front top screw bolt is 3" WHen I put the lower bushing on and instert the shock and connect the lower eye then put the upper bushing on there is no room or way to get the nut to reach the threads of the upper screws.

Rancho told me to drop it down off my lift and the weight should give me enough and I have yet to try this, they said they have never heard of this before either.

The Truck is a 2002 Lariat FX4 No lift but like a typical FX4 the ride higher from the factory.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Dave

Put it back on its on weight so the suspension isn't completely drooped out.
