aal or bigger

Anyone on here swap out the leaf springs on the 2004-2008 truck for F250 leafs? I need stiffer leaf springs and I am caught between getting an aal kit or just having bigger leaf springs installed. Any suggestions?

Are F-250 leafs the same length as F-150 leafs?

Put air bags on instead. You can adjust to what you are doing.

I need something that will stiffen the rear end up and make it sag less with wieght on it, I think an aal will do that, but how well will it work?working

Airbags you can set it to have zero squat in any situation. IMO it's the best route if you don't mind higher price tag

When ever i level out my truck thats the route i will be going so i don't squat. I did an AAL on my last truck and while it was nice, it was jarring over a few situations

I agree on the air bags. Just curious how much weight are you talking about?

I reagularily have 1000 to 2500 pounds of wieght back there. I just don't like the way the truck squats with all that wieght. It almost rides on the bump stops with anything more than 1500 pounds back there. I have never done air bags or an aal, so, ease of installation is a factor also.

both installs are simple. If you have a wide range of weight in the bed, go air bags as they will adjust to any weight. An AAL will not.

nothing wrong w/ a completely new spring but your ride will most likely drastically change. Also new leaf springs are MUCH more expensive than an AAL and probably more than bags.

The reason air bags are nice is you can adjust the rear height of the truck and when unloaded it's a stock ride.
