Angry Ive got a playground under my truck!!

When coming to a slow stop, my truck makes an odd squeeking sound from underneth. It kind of sounds like an old rusty see-saw. I can duplicate the sound by jumping up and down on the front of the truck. Does anyone else have this problem??? Where is the noise coming from???

Yep I've got that sound coming from mine. The only thing I can think of is that its the bushings for the arms squeeking.

I have a noise coming from under my truck that sounds like a couple of washer clinging together. I've greased all kinds of things (more mess than anything), taken it to the dealer, tightened the shock mounts. Don't know what to do.

Damn bushings. You have to pull every bushing under there to find the culprit... or at least that's the smartest thing to do. Why pull just one pair of bushings. I would love to replace all of my front suspension and steering bushings. Replace them with those Energy Suspensioin bushings.

Also, sounds travels. Don't dismiss any rear spring bushings, leaf spring bump plates, shock bushings, etc.

I had a minor squeak coming from my tailgate hinges, but that's hard to miss. I'm sure you've checked that already.

May want to check your body mounts as well. Sometimes I hear bad things about those. Good luck

Try this test......spray some silicone or white lithium grease into the four areas the torsion bars go into( 2 on the rear crossmember and the left and right lower arm up front) soak it real good. If the noise goes away then its at those spots, but unfortunataly they really need to be taken out and greased with something like axle grease and reinstalled. Mine was doing the same thing and this is what I had to do. Have not had the problem for over a year and a half.
Hope this makes some sense, if not let me know and I'll try to explain it a different way.
