lift blocks or leaf

I'm on the fence on lifting my truck. I understand that in order to lift the front a little all I have to do is crank u VPN the torsion bars. Is it safer to buy new keys or will it still put all the added stress on everything? Also should I do an add-a-leaf or just a block. If I do the block or leaf do I need longer U shaped clamps?

Just crank the stock torsion bars. Aftermarket keys are just re-indexed and allow way too much stress to be applied on the front end.

for the rear, if you don't tow just go with a larger block. Yes, you will need to U bolts.

Do not buy aftermarket torsion keys. You can get 2" or 2.5" out of tightening your stock keys. You don't need to go any higher than 2.5" or you will have bad cv axle angles and the ball joints and stuff will wear fast too. If you want it to sit level, don't put anything in the back. If you want it to sit like stock (2" higher in the back than front). If you want to raise the back it really doesn't matter if you get blocks or AALs. If you tow heavy loads get the AAL, but it will make it ride a little stiffer, not too bad. You don't need new u-bolts for AALs but you do for taller blocks

After doing this will my stock shocks still work or do I need some aftermarket ones? Also if I bump up my torsion bars some will it be able to get aligned without buying aftermarket caster/camber plates?

Stock rear shocks should be okay. Front shocks could go either way though.

The back can go up 2" (I think) without getting longer shocks. The front shocks are shorter, and they don't have as much tolerance. If I was you, I would get new front shocks at least
