Validate this 8" Lift setup

I am deployed to Afghanistan and I will becoming home soon, well since I have a couple dollars saved I am going to go ahead and get my truck done. My goal is 8in lift with 37's. So here are my plans and if I am missing something or overlooking an area please let me know

I am looking at doing the 6" Rough Country, Pro Comp, or Sky Jacker. If I get the strut spacer type (RC) I am going to either use bilstien or rancho adjustable struts for the extra 2". If I go with the Sky Jacker I will use my current level kit to get the extra 2". For the rear I will go with an AAL.

I plan on running 18x9 Rockstars with a BS of 4.5" (yes I know everyone has them) and 37x13.5 mud grapplers.

Lastly I am going to regear to 4.88's front and back.

I know I am overlooking an area but due to limited and slow internet over here its hard for me to search so if you guys could help me out I would appreciate it.

Looks like you got a pretty good plan going there.. CST has a 8" lift that won't break the bank like a RIZE... Your truck will be badass *** when it's complete..

Or just put 3" body lift with the 6" suspension lift?

I considered the body lift, however even though I am mechanicly inclined I have heard some horror stories about body lift installations and I didnt really want to deal with that drama.

if it was mine, I would go pro comp with their coil over shocks for the front then use your current leveling kit on top

Good idea except you can crank the coilovers up instead of adding your current spacer. Thats the whole benefit if having the aftermarket coilover.

Wasnt aware of that, by the way don't they sell more than one coilover for the f150, depending on the kit?

Yes, many brands make many different coilovers. Some for stock height, some leveling, and then some for more any amount of lift you could dream up.

I am aware of the coil overs, however since the wife put me on a budget i cant go to crazy here and plus I have to buy a new coyote for my 68 Mustang I am restoring, got a couple things going at once here.

I have been givena 6000 total budget, but my problem is I am stationed in alaska so I take it on the chin for shipping, if I was in the lower 48 I could do it under 5 or spend the extra money. As far as the install, I can do the lift and gears myself.

I am putting a cap of 2000 on the lift, thats not icluding struts if I go that route. That comes outof the remaining 4.

Thanks for the help fellas

I had me eyes on the rough country kit but they wont ship to Alaska at all and everyone who sold that kit wantedmore for shipping than the actual kit....so there went that plan.

Hey man first off thanks for your service. I have a couple more questions. How long are you going to be in Alaska, if you know, and how bad do you want the lift? If it were me, I think I'd wait til I got home. I don't think I could personally pay 1000 bucks shipping on my lift. Also, look into the bds lift. I'm biased about it, because thats what I have, but its high quality, comes with a no questions asked 100% warranty, and will come with your aal that you want. I picked it up for 1700, although thats without shipping. As far as your original question about validating your plan, all those ideas are spot on, and will work to give you 8".

Well I considered waiting but I am now in a position where I can finally do this and kind of tired of waiting, I am sure everyone knows what I mean. But I appreciate everyones input and once I am back and she's done I will post some pics, thanks for the help.
