Opinions Welcome lift kit

I have used the search tool on here and found some good stuff but I am still taking any opnions anyone has. What I have is a 05 2wd 5.4 screw. I am looking at a 2.5" front level with 1" add a and a 3" body lift. I am trying to get the most lift for the lowest price. Wanting to run 35" tires and I know I need to regear so any opnions on what gear would be great. I do tow not allot but I usually tow around 3,000 pounds about 2-3 times a month I will be doing all the work myself. I have acces to a mechanic shop ie truck lift and air tools. Trying to do everything in one weekend with 2 people s I only have to get one allignment trying to cut cost. Any ideas ie best places to get parts prices and anything that is gonna help. I dont go mudding or off road either just love the lifted look. I will be using stock wheels and they are 17's. Thanks

Who would ever lift a 2005 2wd screw... that's just plain stupid...

(Obviously joking, thats what mine is)

But anyway, Why not just a do suspension lift? Going to look better in the long run instead of a body lift.

As far as gears, I'm still turning on 3.55's. I did just get an Edge recently and it brought back alot of power that I haven't seen for a few years now. However I do plan to regear this summer, and right now I'm looking at 4.56's personally.

Don't short yourself by crunching time. You will only need one alignment and that will be after the install of the leveling kit. You won't need one after the body lift. It took me and my buddy a day and a half taking our time and with basic hand tools to install the body lift on mine. About 12 hours total. I hear it's a bit more time consuming on the 04+ trucks. If you're familiar with the assembly and disassembly of the front end on your truck, figure about 2 hours tops to install the level. The add a leaf probably another hour tops. Depending on the amount of time you have, it can all be done in one weekend, but it would be much more easier not to rush and break it up into two. Especially since normally something unexpected pops up causing you more time to wrok on than originally planned.

I believe I got my Fabtech for around $1400 if memory serves me right. I heard Body lifts just aren't fun to put on our trucks. And if you go that route, make sure you move the hitch, get nerf bars, and gap guards to hide it.

And I appreciate the compliment sir.

and welcome to the site btw!
