HELP !!! lift for 2010

Hi guys,

After a long time of surfing around on the internet and on this site, I am not able to find the information I need...

First my truck:

2010 F150 XLT supercrew
2.5 Levelling (autospring) front and back
315/70 R 17 Safari TSR

My problem :

I want to lift that thing so that I can put offset rims on it.
I don't want to spend 2000 $ on new tires... (mine are brand new)

My solution ? :

LIFT !!

What lift can I put on it so that I can keep my 17 inch tires ?

Is there a kit out there that will allow that or I have to buy new tires ?

Anybody have 17 inch rims with lift ?

I would love to get 6 inch lift with those tires....

Should I do a bodylift ?

Help me PLEASE !!!!

I'd look into Rancho, I believe the other companies say you must use larger wheels.

If you do a body lift, you wouldn't have to change your wheel or tire setup since it doesn't affect it which sounds like thats what you want?

If I understand, he wants new wheels but he wants to stay with 17's. Some manufacturers of 2009+ lifts require you not only use a wheel with less backspacing but a larger diameter also. I believe the Pro Comp lifts allow you to still use 17 inch wheels.

All lifts should allow you to keep 17 inch wheels...just have to make sure you get the right back spacing

with a 17x9 inch rim youll be looking at 4.5-5.5 back spacing depending on the brand of lift

Best thing to do would be to call the company of the lift you are getting and ask them if so and so wheel size with so and so back spacing will fit

I dont think they really changed much in the front end with the new models

I thought the only factor limiting wheel size was the size of the brakes? Am I wrong? I know you have to have certain backspacing with a lift, but I thought you could run the same diameter rims regardless of lift or no lift. I have a 2006 with a 6" Fabtech and 17" rims fit on mine. They're really close to the brakes but they fit.

Majority of them wheel size doesn't matter, just the back spacing but some of the newer ones won't work with 17's iirc.

I believe Pro Comp advetises 20s but in their instructions it says 18s. If I remember correctly when I had their kit.

I know I've seen some kits advertised that said they required 18 inch or larger wheels. Can't remember for sure, but I was thinking it was a kit for the 09-12 F-150's.

Yes ' i want to go higher...

And I drove my 315 with no problem last summer on the fatory wheel.

But the main reason I want to go higher is that I want to put some new wheel ( XD Misfit )

3 inch Body lift seems like the best options, I just need a little higher to be able to run with more offset...

6 inch suspension lift won't allow 17 inch wheel ( i have not found a kit that allows them)

anyone can help ?
