Cool largest tire rim combo

hi, I have a 1998 f150 2wd w/3" body lift and a doetsch 5" lift on the way, its the spindle and coil lift. I was just trying figure largest tire and rim combo to give it a good stance, I will also have pocket flares too. I want fill the area out to the fender flares up as much as I can, with out rubbing. Any suggestions are really appreciated. Right now I run stock 17" rims with 295/70/17 terra grapplers, with little rub at full lock, only body lift is on. Thanks everyone. Could a moderator move this to wheels and tires, I thought that's where I was posting. Thanks.

You can clear a 35x12.50 with that setup. If you had gone to the full 6.5 doestch/springtech lift you could have cleared a 37x13.50.

35 are plenty big enough, but what size rim(back space, offset) will fill the fenders out to or as close to the pocket flares as possible I like the wide stance. Thanks for the quick reply.

Since the pockets don't actually give you anymore clearance you still have to watch for rubbing on the inner sheet metal, but a 10" wide wheel with somewhere between 4.25-4.5" backspacing would set you out nicely with a wide stance. Since the spindles will also knock you out another 1.5" per side anyways.

thank you, for your help, would it be better to stick with a 17"wheel or could a 16" wheel clear the spindle?

Either would work, but I've found there's more options in tires both price and different tread wise for a 17" wheel, so I'd probably go with those.
