Firestone Ride Rite's and AAL
Hey guys,
I have an 06 f150 4x4 that I have had an aal in for about 3 years now and I just installed a set of Firestone Ride Rite air bags. Am I going to have any kind of problems with the bags due to the 1.5" extra height I have from the aal? I have read some forums that state as long as you have stock shocks then they will limit the downward movement so that the bags won't rip off. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I dont see how the AAL affects anything here, it changes the right height by acting as a spacer and allowing less flex in the leaf springs. This could potentially lengthen the gap between top of leap pack and frame where bag resides at rest but in no way will travel be increased by an AAL you should operate just alike they were applied to a stock setup.
As mdhawkin mentioned you shouldn't get more travel. I would be more concerned about the initial lift and mounting the bags in this space.
Unless it was a special kit I'm not aware of from Firestone it was probably designed for factory specs. If the distance from the top of your axle and bottom of frame is 1.5" larger than factory, I would suggest adding a 1.5" or 1" spacer below the bags.
