Have you had any issues with your kit? Do you know what problems people were having? any alignment issues? I also have a 04 stx that i lowered 2/4 from djm the truck rides on rails around turns but trying to see if theres a better kit out there. any binding at the ball joints?

I haven't had any problems with my kit and I have been running it for about 40K miles. I had to elongate the camber holes to get it to align properly though. Some people are having problems achieving the advertised height. People are getting anywhere from 5"-6.5" in the rear. Belltech thinks it due to the fact our trucks come with different leaf packs. It's not model specific, it's more or less random. Some have the 3pack leaf some the 4pack leaf. I just toyed with mine trying several different shackles until I got the height I was looking for. Right now I'm at 4.5" / 6.5"

just called bell tech. They said the only kit they have for my truck is the 2/3 drop kit. The 3/5 will be back out in the middle of feb. due to revising it. I guess I'll be waiting. Milt did you ever look at the dim suspension kit before you bought the bell tech one?

I had a DJM 4/7 on a 2009 Silverado. The upper and lower controls arm that came with it were nice quality, fit and finish. Heavy powder coat, urethane bushing, mandrel bent tubing, nice stuff. However, I was not impressed with the quality of the flip kit for the rear at all. The plates that the U-bolts mount to at the axle were thin and weak. A few people on www.gmfullsize.com/forums actually broke theirs when tightening them up. The Calmax shocks that came with the flip kit were garbage as well.

Hey guys, new to the forum here and had a quick question before i spent a bunch of cash.

I want to do a 3/5 on my 05 supercab and i am about to order the following:

belltech coil overs for the front
belltech rear leafs 3" drop w/ 2" drop shackles
belltech street performance shocks for the rear

The coil overs state up to 3" drop and i want to make sure if i do drop it down 3" i don't need spindles or control arms.

Also, with 5" of drop in the rear how many degrees do i need to shim the diff? i found multiple answers and i am thinking 3 degrees but not 100% sure. Overall this is about $1k which price is not a worry just want to make sure everything will work properly.

Thanks

Looks like your list contains everything you need. You don't need spindles or arms. I'm not sure on the degrees of shimming but the install directions should specify.

Looks really good man! I like those wheels with your paint scheme. Some Harley heads and tails would really set that thing off.

Thanks everyone. I'm running 35/40/22s and I could tow if I wanted to. I still have travel. I really want to get it down about 2 more inches but have to swap out wheels for a more pos off-set.
