97-03 lightning leaf springs

are the lightning springs the same as a 2wd ...cause i looking for some leafs and found some for a lightning but they say they are the same as any 2wd f150

no, they are not the same (but will bolt right in)


and if they aren't '03-'04 leafs they will lower the back of your truck



why do you need new/different springs??

I could be wrong but I think the lightning leafs will drop you 1.5 or so.

how much will just reg 2wd leafs drop the rear ...i cant find any lightning or harley springs at the parts yards

I could be wrong, but I believe regular 2wd and 4wd leafs are the same. The height difference just comes from the factory 2" block on the 4x4's.
