Rough Country, Springtech/Cancuk Motorsports spindle Reviews? Crap or good?

I was planning on purchasing a set of RC or Springtech 3" spindles for my 2003 Screw. The seem good and the price is great but today i went into 4 wheel parts and they told me that they were pieces of ****. They said that pretty much they will break and are no good.... you get what you pay for. Im wondering what you guys think about these products.

They are good products. The people at 4wheelparts probably just wanted to convince you to buy one of their more expensive kits.

Please direct me to some of these bad reviews. I have only read about 1 guy not happy with his on a ford ranger as he broke a spindle. i put the 6in lift on my son's 97 and it has been great.

I've only ever seen one bad review, and that was from a kid who jumped his ranger like a trophy truck. No street suspension lift will hold up to that. Many of us on here have spindles and have put them to use with zero problems.

Yup they're all good quality products, like Buxton said that's the only bad review I've heard too. 4wheelparts probably wants you to pick up a fabtech kit or something like that where you'll pay like 200 more for the name and the color blue. As long as you treat it as a lift kit and nothing more you'll be fine, but the minute you think your a trophy truck is when stuff starts to break.

Well the bad reviews were on jeep forums... http://www.jeepreviews.com/jeep-part...-country-lift/
And yes they did want me to buy fabtech.... But i called a rough country dealer in the area and he told me the same thing. So i called another and he said they were good products.... i just dont know because i dont want ****ty parts that will break id rather do a leveling kit then.

Barrod how long has it been installed?

And i think the general concencius on them on the forum is good...?

4 Wheel Parts told you that so you would buy a ProComp lift. 4WP is owned by ProComp. I wouls suggest you stay away from 4WP, they are way over priced.

Okay that's a jeep, you drive a f150 first off. Second people with lifted jeeps do what? Majority of them tear them up off road and think a lift kit means they now have a purpose built crawler/bogger and they don't it's a lift. Be smart with your truck and you'll be fine, overstep your trucks boundaries and yea breaking something is bound to happen.

Barryrod's hasn't been installed long, but I've been running springtech for almost 2 years now and never had a problem.

Also don't get the shocks, why you would need new shocks with spindles I don't know. Spindles don't require a longer shock, they change none of the geometry. On a side note, the shocks that come with them are generally crappy, so if you need shocks just put your money towards a decent set of bilsteins or rancho 9000's.

Online only as far as I know, and if I had to guess it's because they wanna sell you more stuff. Asking questions to a dealer is like saying I have an open wallet, reach in and take what you want ha. And I wouldn't the shocks are worthless, you'll wear them out in like 10k miles or so. Unless your referring to rear shocks if your blocking the back too to keep it level? In which case even then I'd doubt it'd really warrant new ones unless the factory ones are worn out.

If you go with springtech the spindles will give you 3.5" in the front so you'll need about 1-1.5" in the rear depending how your truck has settled over time. You can just measure the height difference in the front and the back now as it sits stock to determine what size block you'll need. And in the front the shocks will be fine, because the spindle doesn't affect the coil spring at all so they'll be no difference there. In the rear it's really up to you, if you do a lot of towing or hauling of stuff or even just some really bumpy roads there's a chance they'll bottom out but not likely with under a 2" block.
