id help you, but my truck is older than yours. most people with 2wd opt for the 3" body lift. not sure what size tires you can run with that, though. you should try the search feature, you will find everything you want to know using that. good luck!

I went with the 3" spindle lift from pro-comp. It's cheap, provides more actual clearance than a body lift, and is easier to install.

Lift for 2wd

I saw a 3 inch suspension lift done on an episode of trucks tv.

VERY SIMPLE! Add a leafs in the back and change out the spindles in the front. You could do it your self in a day in your driveway.

rcd makes a 6" lift for you 97'. spindles, coils, sub frame, sway bar links, anti-compression struts, and bilsteins all the way around. check rcd's website. www.racecardynamics.com

even though mine is a 98, I thought I'd show it anyway. Sizes and such are on my homepage.

I've got a '97 with the 6 inch ProComp suspension lift. I got it installed at 4WheelParts with 35" Procomp All-Terrains on American Racing 16x8 Baja Wheels. Link to the pics is in my sig.

it all depends on your application. are you going for altitude or performace. general offroad or high speed desert. if you are going for just altitude there are numerous kits out there. but if you want wheel travel and performance i would recommend the
kit from camburg engineering. they seem to have the most durable kit for the truck. however they can be pricey, but i think it is well worth it.
