Looks good bud. Not as good as the ol Superduty though!!! But good for a Chevrolet:D

BigBadRedLiftedFordMan Jul 21, 2001 03:01 AM

I have to admit that looks really nice...i am slightly partial to the superduties...however, it looks really good...i'm jealous thats for sure...i havent seen ya around town with it yet...when'd ya get it put on? (& Where?) We should go offroading sometime...just because i get bored...and well i need someone besides a jeep in case i get in real trouble out there...lol. Anywayz, i'll look 4 ya around...although in 3 wks i'm off to baylor...but i'm sure i'll still be on these boards plenty...that is, unless i get a new truck...hopefully like this one:

Well, my superduty was a great looking ride but the power in that thing was well below average...If you get a superduty be sure and get the PSD, the triton engines in the in SD are below par IMHO....I wanted something different as well, when i first got my superduty i was one of the first to get it lifted...now as you know everyone and their mom has one lifted because they are so easy to lift....i have yet to see an HD lifted and i bet there a way fewer ever lifted because they are much harder to lift as you know because of the IFS...

The truck rides awesome, the tires look and ride great...couldn't be much happier really, to be honest i am glad i got the HD over the supercrew because those things are everywhere too...

Yeah give me a hollder one day in you want to go wheeling..we'll see what this thing will do...

:)

Steven

I was curious if you installed the body lift yourself? If you did, I would love to know of any problems or things I should watch out when I install mine. I thought I would only put a 2" on it, but after seeing yours, I really like the look. I just got the exact same MTR's as you have. I love them.

Thanks,

Jason

By the way, you're just up in Temple man, that's awesome. Let me know of any trails up by you that might be good right about now...with all the rain if you know what I mean.

StevensBlack4x4 Aug 27, 2001 02:47 PM

Longhorn Hoss as far as problems i didnt have any me and three of my friend did it all in a day. As far as trails we have a play that stays mud 24/7 its called the log jam any day of the year there is always mud.

Longhorn Hoss Aug 27, 2001 05:13 PM

Thanks Steven. I was looking at other posts about the 2 or 3 inch lift and the main advantage I see with the 3" is that it includes bumper brackets for keeping the overall appearance of the truck. Also, are you sure that's all you have...a 3" lift. It seems much taller than that.

The Log jam? Where is that exactly? If you want, you can email me the directions at jvisosky@mail.utexas.edu

Oh, and one more thing. What do you think of your RS9000 shocks? I will be replacing mine here soon and I have been trying to get opinions about different brands (Bilsteins, Rancho, etc).

Thanks again,

Jason

Longhorn Hoss i will have to draw a map for you it is very complicated to tell you. the shocks are great i love the ride and the fact i can adjust them in about a min. and my truck only has a 3" body lift nothing else special. if you want to see more pics just go to my web site at http://www.f150world.com/StevensBlack4x4

StevensBlack4x4 Aug 28, 2001 01:02 AM

when i compared it to a truck with a 4" rancho it sits about half an inch taller than it all i have done is a 3" body lift and the 305

attitude Sep 1, 2001 07:17 PM

I'm sure stevens is taller than yours mudder. All those lights weigh yours down at least an inch or two!!!:D Just kidding. They all look good.

The bigger the better!

2dollarsteak Sep 1, 2001 10:54 PM

Mudder,

You should really add a 3" Body Lift to your truck. It would make it one of the badest trucks ever.
