2" AS Leveling kit install problem on 2007 4x

I've read posts on problems peeps had installing and seems mostly has to do getting lower part of strut back in the saddle. Well that isn't my prob. I got to the point of trying to re-attach upper control arm to upper ball joint smoothly, then hit a wall. Sway bar diconnected, tie rod end off. Strut assembly in place and tightened up. Tried jacking up on lower control arm, which may have budged only 1/4" before truck started coming off the stands. With a long pry bar, pulled down on upper control arm and was only ever able to get ball joint stud to barely start to enter hole in knuckle. Measured spacer and it is only 2". Pulled entire assemble and changed spacer out thinking maybe the off spacing is different from left to right. Reinstalled with no problem but still couldnt get upper knuckle and ball joint together. Jacked, pryed, pulled, cused, threw tools. Still no luck. Pulled apart and went back stock. Trying again next week. Anybody have this problem? Thanks

did you turn the strut completely around 180 degrees so the offset is facing outward? i've only put the 1.5" on my 08' and hade no problems. maybe try rachet straps to help. hopefully someone with more experience will answer.

Jack on the opposite side of the vehicle. If you are trying to get the passenger side in, jack on the drivers rear as far back as possible. I jacked on a spot between the bumper and rear leaf mount/shackle. Shocking just how much the frame will twist.
