thank Buxton that pretty much answered all my questions. Any recommendations on what brand for longer shocks or shock extender kit?

I'f you have the cash to spend I'd get bilstein 5100's. They ride amazing but also come at like 80 a piece. The rancho 9000's are pretty nice also. However if you stay under 2" you can get by with stock shocks.

planning to replace the shocks any way so might as well do it here.

I got V8 coil springs from pizzaman for one inch of lift in the front. Could I add a one and a half inch coil spring spacer without needing new upper control arms? Would it put the ball joints at too much of a bad angle?

no, no more than 2"s of lift in the front so you could get a 1" spacer

they lifted my v8 around 2.5 inches when first put on around 2 years ago. they've settled to 2 inches and ride real good
