Eibach?
Eibach?
Anyone out there using Eibach springs? I checked out their website and it looks like they make a set of front springs to lower the F-150 about 2", but I didn't see anything about the rear. Also, does anyone know of a kit that us "regular" F-150 owners can use to stagger the rear shocks like on a Lightning? I have heard that makes a pretty big difference in keeping the rear end planted. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks
I have an Eibach 3-5 drop kit on my 97 F150. I believe on the box it said it was a 2-4 but when it was installed it was really a 3-5 drop. It was springs in the front and nice powdercoated shacklels and hangers for the rear. Ordered them through Speedtek performance in Hurst, Texas. I love the Eibach springs, they are the BEST on the market. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the response. I am leaning towards the Eibach 1.5" Front Springs and the 1.5" Rear Shackles (they offer a 3" hanger option, but I hear it is a real b**ch to get the old hangers off). Also, with this minimal drop, I should be able to use standard shocks. For those, I think I am going to go with the Bilsteins. Not the cheapest choice, but I would rather do it right once than spend less money twice. Did you notice a big difference in handling with the Eibach's? What shocks are you running? I have never driven a lowered truck before, but common sense tells me that it should handle MUCH better than stock. Thanks again.
hey ,
i dont have the eibach suspension parts but i just recently added Belltech nitro drop suspension to my truck, i have 2 in lowering shackles in the rear and kept the front stock with nitro drop shocks all around.......i also added a belltech rear sway bar to my truck........running on stock 16 inch rims when i first did it, it drove very well, kept body sway to a minimum and handled very well on corners.....(sept try not to jack the gas on a corner in the rain, the stiff rear end sent me on a rollor coster ride in the middle of a intersection)...i have now put on 18 by 9.5 rims and toyo proxes S/T tires on all around....now it handles awesome....on the corners the truck handles very well even in the rain .....adding wider tires makes a world of difference.... i have heard the eibach suspension is very well but the belltech was just alil cheaper...and works just as well....
