Beefing up IFS on 2001 Screw?

How would one go about Beefing up IFS on 1997-2003 body style trucks? My ultimate plan would be to throw a 4bt in there, and from what i've read, the tritons weigh about 750-800 lbs, 4bts about 900-950, so beefing up IFS would be ideal and presumably cheaper than doing the SAS, im not going for power or anything, love the diesel sound and Mileage would improve drastically.

150 lbs probably won't be a big deal. after all, many put winches, ranch hands, etc with out beefing up the front end.

as for mileage increase, how much are you going to spend doing the swap? i bet at least 4k+ between the motor, adapters, drive shafts, electrical, etc. usually these swaps don't pay for themselves you do it because you just want to have a diesel.

only 750 with fluids? really, is there a link you can send me that can prove this? only reason i say this is because i frequent 4btswaps.com and have asked everyone over there and the consensus is they weigh more towards the 900's. if thats the case then i would not have to do anything to the suspension which will mean i could just spend more money on the swap.

06yz250f: Money will not be an issue, i plan on slowly saving/buying parts, my 5.4 still has some life left in it and until it craps out i'll just accumulate everything i need, but i will say that i will just go with the hydraulic tranny 47rh that way it bolts right up to the 4bt. i would like to make everything factory looking as far as gauge cluster, but i will be focused on just getting the darn thing running, then worry about all that other stuff later, and yes and it's because i want a diesel lol, mileage with a 4bt, from what i read is in the 20-25 range, which should pay for itself in time.

what about a transfer case to mate to that tranny?

are you floor shift or electronic shift right now?

how long will the new drive train be compared to the old one?
