ABS sensor

i have a broken abs sensor and was wondering if i took out the whole harness ect would that wheel simply not engage the brake? or would the truck know to use the brake simce the sensor is gone

I'm not positive, but I think the brakes would work just not the anti-lock feature. Why not just fix it? ABS sensors are cheap compared to what could happen if you bypass that.
