Does the kit negatively affect the handling in any way? I love the ride and handling as it is now and don't want to level if it's going to change anything.

Thanks in advance!

I have not experienced any adverse handling or ride quality.

My dad has one on his 2009 f150 with 33s and we both think it handles better than it did before the 2.5" spacers

Are you sure that you want to do a 2.5 with a 2008?? I have read stuff here that the truck sits nose high once you put a load on it. I'd advise a 1.5-2" kit...
As far as handling goes, I have noticed no adverse effects of it. Parking was a little harder a first though.

Ride and handling have not changed on my 05, different wheels and tires are usually where you notice a change. poolboy is right unless you are planning on swapping out rear blocks or adding an add a leaf to the rear you might want to stay with a 2".

I was planning on getting the kit with the AAL since I do a fair amount of towing (20 foot bass boat and flat bed with assorted junk). Mine is 2wd and I'm kinda looking for the stock but leveled 4wd look. Planning on running 275/70/18 Michelin LTX MS2's on stock wheels. I appreciate the responses, keep'em coming!
