Daystar 2.5 inch worth it??

Hey guys,
I have an 09 F150 King Ranch and want a taller beefier stance and was wondering what yall thought about the 2.5 inch Daystar leveling. I was wondering if this stiffens the ride of the truck and if it hurts the gas mileage.
And would all i need to do is to but this levelin kit and put on the biggger rims and tires??
any information would help
Thanks!

You would also need an alignment. And it will stiffen up the ride some, but it won't make the ride terrible. What's gonna hurt gas mileage the most is gonna be the bigger tires.

leveling Kit

I'm in a simlar situation. Does anyone know if I can fit 305/60/20 without a level kit? I had a level kit on ,y previous supercrew and it wasn't bad but I only 18's on it. I want it to sit as hi as possible as well without affecting the ride too much. Please post some pics if you have some with 305/60/20. Please advise.

How does it stiffen up the ride just wondering? I have been doing leveling kits all summer on new trucks while working at the ford dealership in town and they ride the same as the did before the leveling kits.

But you will need an alignment after installing the kit no questions asked.

Erock1 I think a 305/60 would be a little tight in the wheel wells with a leveling kit but you might be able to pull it off

thanks for the feedback guys.
How big of a tire do yall think i could get on w/o cutting or rubbing??
and appoximately how much do you think my gas mileage will change??
I love the look of a higher truck, but am contemplating whether or not it is worth it.
thanks

I usually install just a 33" tall tire with a leveling kit and they never have an issue of rubbing

Gas mileage depends on gear ratio and what size tire you go to, but I'd figure at best maybe 1 to 2 mpg.

I would say a 2.5 inch leveling kit is definitely worth it. It only costs about $100. My dad has one on his 2009 F150. His tires are barely under 33 (32.8 diameter I believe). His are on the stock 17s, and they are nowhere near rubbing. I would say a tire that's 34 inches in diameter would fit very nice and wouldn't require trimming on the front fenders.

Daystar is a good kit, but you can get a leveling kit a little cheaper. Autospring and Hell Bent steel both make good kits and they only cost $70-$80.
