6"to 8" help
6"to 8" help
I got a procomp 6" stage 1 going on a 08 fx4 screw, I wanna go up to 8" I have bilstiens 5100's going on. can I use them to get the 2" in the front? What do I need to use to get the extra lift in the back without stacking blocks?
I would get 2 inch spacers and put them on top of the bilstiens so you don't have to crank them up and stiffen the ride up. Or maybe a 1 or 1.5 inch spacer and crank up the bilstiens just a little. As for the back, the only thing you can do, that I know of, is get an add a leaf. That will give you 2 inches. I don't know if you can get a tall enough block to give you all the lift you want with only one block and no add a leaf
For the rear, Atlas makes a 6" leaf spring set. You could use that on top of your 2" factory block. Going to cost you about 600 bucks or more for the set. You'll have to figure out the pinion angle and u-bolt length.
For the front, the Bilstein 5100's may work, IDK. Bilstein makes a strut that gives you 4-6" using your stock coils. You might be able to throw a 2" leveling kit on top of those. Either way, IDK, if your angles will be right.
Good luck. Let us know if you figure it out.

I'm gonna call a few 4x4 shops today and see what I can find out, someone told me on here a while back what set up they had used when I was trying to choose a lift but I forgot what they had said, wanna put it on nxt weekend so I'm trying to figure out what all I gotta order
To get the best ride by spending the least amount use thr 5100's adjusted for 2" of additional lift. This will ride better and will also be much safer than stacking a 2" spacer on top of the 6" Procomp spacer. For the rear you can use a 2" AAL and replace the factory 2" and Procomp 3" with a 5.5" block. Tuff Country and Procomp make one. You should also install shims unless you can find a tapered block. When I had swapped blocks on my F-150 almost 2 years ago I couldn't find a tapered block. Maybe they make one now.

Thanks guys let yaw know how it turns out, any advice on wheels? Can't decide what ones to go with wanna go with, wanna go with chrome cause every truck around where I live has black.thinking bout 20"x10" fuel hostage with trail grapplers but don't know how it would look. by the way trucks black
If you are going to spend the money on the Bilstiens anyway, get the 4-6in lift struts to replace the procomp spacer and then add your 2in spacer. Then install an AAL and 5.5in block in the rear.
Hopefully last question guys other than still trying to figure out the blocks what aal's work better short or long?sorry for all the questions just wanna get wheels, tires, blocks & aal's tomorrow and figured it's cheaper & easier to get some help from yaw rather than trial and error
