Jack Stands

I need to get some jack stands. Are the 3 ton size safe or should I spring for the 6 tons?

Jack stands

If money is not an issue, get the 6 ton stands. Better safe than squshed!

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't know if it was overkill. I don't really mind spending a bit more on tools like that, which ought to last for decades.

BTW I need them to put Rancho 9000s(w/ the inside adjuster) on my wife's Montero. Hope it doesn't take too long. I suspect I'm going to end up switching my truck over too, even though it only has about 7000 miles on it. The OEM shocks already seem quite a bit softer.
