No, you'll be fine with the stock wheels. What lift are you looking at? If you only want 6" I'd recommend the springtech 6.5" you can find it on ebay. Its the same as the doestch and canuck motorsports lift.

Springtech 6.5, I looked at the fabtech but couldn't justify the price considering I'll be ditching this one and going long travel eventually anyways.

I don't like the shocks that come with it, but for the price compared to the fabtech 7.5 upgrading to a set of decent shocks in no big deal. I think I put it on around 40k and now I have about 56k on the truck so somewhere around 16k give or take some. Other than the shocks though I love the kit, it rides great and looks a lot better from the front compared to the fabtech with the drop down crossmember in my opinion.

Thanks man, and me and some friends did it. It wasn't too bad a couple rusty nuts that were a pain but nothing that wasn't expected. I did need an alignment kit though to get it aligned, not sure if its not included or they just forgot it but I picked one up cheap at a local shop so it was no big deal. Just make sure you have a free weekend and some help and the right tools and you'll be fine, things always take longer than expected haha.

Not too bad, they weren't fun but just make sure you have one of those spring compressors, you can rent them at autozone and places like that. Just make sure your careful when working with those, I have the compressors pop off before and send a coil spring shooting out, they'll do some damage if you ain't paying attention.

I wouldn't try it, your gonna need it just to get your old ones out safely. They only cost like $50 so its worth it to have.

The fabtech uses a crossmember and spindles to lift, basically it uses the crossmember to drop the control arms down so you can run the lift coils with it and keep the right alignment. The springtech uses longer upper control arms to run the lift coils and to help keep it alignable along with spindles.
