lift and tires?
lift and tires?
Was going to do a ready lift 3inch spacer up front with there 1.5 inch rear block. With trail grappler 295/70/18 on my stock stx wheels. What do you guys think? Don't want it to look stupid or to big, never see ext cab trucks lifted there always 4door.
I did the spacers on my truck before I lifted it, and the ride sucked. Not sure if they are the same as what your talking about. It seemed to make the ride really harsh, almost as if the suspension was maxed out, and any bumps I hit were just like the truck was leaving the ground and slamming back down. Removed them and the ride went back to normal, then had my lift installed and it rides like factory. Hope that helped...
First of all, don't go taller than a 2.5 inch lift with spacers. Most everyone has found out that the 3 inch kits leave the ball joints and CV joints at too severe of an angle to survive. Also, while Readylift makes good products they are usually way, way overpriced.
Not sure if u will be able to fit that size even with the level being 2wd. There are some with 4wd that barely clear that size. Hear the newer trucks have slightly bigger wheelwells. Hopefully someone with 2wd will comment. Usually they say 33s with 2wd and those are about 34.5.
^^ agree 100%. Even if they do fit I think they are going to look way too stuffed. I would go a little smaller.
To give you an idea, even though I have an 08 4x4 here is a before and after. Both have 2.5" level installed, one with 275/65/18 (which should be larger than your stock tires) and after with 295/70/18, you can see the space difference.

i had a 07' 2wd with 285/65R18 with no level wats so ever and they didnt rub n weren't rlly stuffed lookin either, unfortunately i dont have a pic anymore. IMO( which one my friends here on post has this done on a 04' i believe) a 2.5" spacer with 1 or 1.5" rear block fits 305/70R17 good with no rubbin, but looks stuffed in wheelwell

285/65/18 Nitto Trail grapplers at 4wheelonline with free shipping comes out to 1065.40. Some people have complaints about their service, however myself and others received excellent service from them. Ordered my tires from there and received the same week.
Those come are about a 33x11.50, think they would look good on there.
