just bought the 2.5" AS leveling kit
I say go for it, wasnt that hard to install. Just make sure you got big enough sockets to get the bolt out of the bottom of the strut and a torque wrench that goes up to 250 ft lbs. Cant wait to see it done.
Well when it's done I'll post pics for sure. Just debating on doing I'm on my own or taking it to get done. I don't think the kits run 1/2" taller bc it didn't on my 01 z71 but if it does not a big deal won't be too bad. I'm shooting for this weekend if not for sure next weekend.

a lot of people do report 1/2" more than expected though, from what i've read on here it seems most people report 1/2" more from the AS brand
I've got a 2006 FX4 and I installed a 2.5" Autospring leveling kit back when I first got the truck. It was sitting level, but after a couple of months I noticed the rear was sitting lower than the front. So I measured the front and rear and the rear was sitting 1/2" lower than the front. It may not be alot, but you can definitely see it......and I didn't like it. So I then installed the 3" Autospring blocks in the rear and now the rear sits about 1/4" - 1/2" higher than the front. Pretty happy with how it looks.
06yz250f- i do see what your saying, but i cant complain if the truck doesnt sit level i only paid like $75 for the kit. i dont know to much about all this stuff thats why i joined this site to learn more from you guys and get input. i know to the T how i want my truck to look in the end but to get yalls input on which steps to take first. and that is one thing i loved about my z71 was the torsion bars. what causes the rear to sag in the rear, is it the added stress from the spacers?

2008_XL - i guess you havent read everything i posted, its either in this thread or the one titled "just bought the 2.5" AS level" but i said i measured the front compaired to the rear and the front sat about 2 3/4" lower than the rear. so all i did was buy the 2.5" kit. then i was informed after i recieved it that most kits normally sit a 1/2" higher that listed. so yeah i might have ********d up and my point was at least i didnt spend a crap load of money for nothing. all id have to do is buy rear blocks. its not like im going to just leave my truck looking at the sky nose high id get it fixed. all i was doing was going with my instinct from what i measured
When's it getting installed?
And it should be close to level. My neighbor bought our 08 that's had a 2.5 since day 1 and now at 65k miles its still looking the same, close to level. Same with my sisters 06 she had.
