Well its time!

Finally going to install the lift i bought from fx4life79. I was going to have it installed and not mess with it, but in the back of my mind i really wanted to do it myself. So im rained out today and maybe tomorrow plus the three day weekend. Surely I can get it done in 4 or days!!! right.??? my uncle has all the tools and an empty shop connected to a parts store, so we will see what happens. Wish me luck and a prayer or two wouldnt be bad either !haha
Ill try to remember to take some pictures.

You'll be fine man. The best way to learn anything is to jump in and go for it. Having an uncle with all the tools makes it easier as well because to me the worst part of any job when I was first starting out as a wrench slinger back in the 90's was not having or not having a clue what tools I needed for whatever job I was doing.

Over the years collecting more and more tools, some of them odd ***** that you may not break out but once a year makes life SOOOO much easier.

I agree with that, I have gotten to the point where I encourage friends to work on stuff at my place, I tell them if I don't have the tool, I will buy it, because chances are I will need it again.

Big_Smokey, good luck, looking forward to the pics.

That will happen pretty soon. this week if i can get to my tire guy. I was going to do Trail Grapps in a 37, but decided to just keep the lift at 6" and run 35's this go round. I use my truck a fair amount, so for the sake of putting stuff in the bed and fitting in places i kept er a little smaller.

Yah i went down and met fx4life79 and bought the lift he was going to do initally. Glad he changed his mind! hahaa. And no SAS in the future for me! ha this is pretty much it for lift for me.
Those coilovers really set it off nice

i was referring to the TOYota for the SAS

Oh...ha. Yah it needs to be bigger! Ill keep working on him. He also just bought an 08 screw lariat. So now hes got a bug to do stuff to it. traded his chevy off. Finally gettin with the program.

Yah he saved me some money even driving down there to get it plust what i paid was cheaper then buying it from some place. It was a really long day of travel! I should have waited and made a mini vacation out of the deal. I left MO that day and it was almost snowing and TX was like 75. I didnt want to go home
