Bilsteins 5100 0-2" adjustable?

HELLO EVERONE i am new to this forum and i love it,i own a 2004 f150 supercrew.i am installing a 6" PRO COMP lift ,so far its been a pain in the butt, but im almost done. i went ahead and replaced the front factory struts with some BILSTEINS 5100 SERIES struts adjustable from 0-2 inches.i was thinking can i adjust them to give me 2 more inches or should i leave them alone?i was told from 4 wheel parts that they dont recommend it and so did a couple of other offroad dealers.putting to much stress on CV's and upper control arms and also will crack my front transfer case.i had them already adjusted to give me a total of 8"with the lift but went ahead and lowered the strut to its lowest ring.thanks BEN

Several members have done this with no problem. It's no different than upgrading to Pro Comp's MX6 coilovers and cranking up the preload for 2 more inches of lift.

Belltech also makes a lifting/lowering strut.
