Not An F150, but still a ford and need help

I have posted questions on a ranger based website, but I cant seem to get any answers. I am trying to weigh the pros and cons of 2 different suspension kits for my 1999 ranger. I am building a mild desert toy/ daily driver. H&M uses boxed fabricated upper control arms with heims and Camburg uses a fabricated chromoly upper controls arms with bushings. Both use uni-***** and fabricated spindles. The H&M kit gives me 6" of lift and about 9-10 in of wheel tavel on 33s. The Camburg kit gives me 5.5" of lift and about the same amount of travel. The only real difference between the 2 is the upper control arms and the camburg kit comes with a limiting strap for the front end. I know its not and F150, but which kit would be stronger and best for a dd that sees weekend dirt runs? I appreciate any help you guys can give me. My wife is buying me one of these kits, my wheels and tires for my ranger, as a welcome home present.

i've never heard anything bad about camburg. never heard of the other company.

if the kits provide same performance on paper, i'd go camburg just for the name. i know some people on here run their upper controls arms on their f150's.

$100 price difference between the two.

what the difference in strength and durability between the round tube and bushings or boxed arms and heims? the only other big difference is camburg uses a limiting strap and H&M doesnt. Any thought about running without a sway bar for more wheel travel? thanks again for all the info

Heims are stronger and you can debate the strength of chromoly versus boxed control arms, either way with only about 10" of wheel travel you won't bend them. If you run with out a sway bar and go above about 15 you'll have so much nose dive when you turn you'll roll your truck everytime. If you feel you need a limiting strap just pick one up off a website like polyperformance, they're pretty cheap. But since its just a mild desert toy your building/dd you won't really need it because I would not recommend jumping it without a full cage otherewise say bye bye to your frame.

Now down to the question of which one do I recommend? Both camburg and HnM make great products, and both are made by pretty nice guys. Either one will do what you need it to for what your looking at but remember you won't be jumping the truck. Personally however I prefer HnM over camburg, but check out a website like dezert rangers to see some comparisons.

Also don't forget your not gonna be clearing 33's without fiberglass fenders on the front, and that means you'll also either need to cut the stock bumper back or you will need a prerunner bumper.
