Price Quote for 6" Lift and 35's..

Forum Buddies,
I was quoted $4400 installed for a 6 inch Zone Off Road Lift Kit and some 35" Toyo's. I thought that was a little pricey, but I may be wrong. Asking for some input here..... :coffee:

Thanks,

I know everyone doesn't have the tools or space to do it, but why not do it yourself? You could cut your price almost in half

on my 07 i paid $2100 installed on a 6" BDS, tires is all dependent on what size wheels you get as well. my 35/12.5/18 trail grappers for $1200 OTD, my 315/70/17 on my old truck were $940 OTD

edit: you'll get more responses by posting in the correct (suspension) section, but at the end of the day the prices you're told are only good if the local shops are willing to do it for that so i'd call around. one shop around here does it for $1800 installed for a rough country last i had heard from them.

I own my shop herein Florida and I charge 1600 for a rough country installed. I put a rough country lift on my 10 screw with 35 inch mud grapplers and 20 incubus wheels for 3200 everything

Man I know, but unfortunately I don't have the space nor the tools to complete the job.

You can do a 3" body lift and 2" leveling kit and gap guards, and get it installed for about $1500. It will ride like stock, and handle even better than a suspension lift because the center of gravity will be lower. It also won't effect your turning radius like a suspension lift.

my truck lifted road better than stock, couldn't tell a difference in turning radius (i actually thought it drove better than our other stock 2 f150's in every way), with a 6" lift especially on a 2wd you're not tall and COG does not really play to much into it, if you slapped a 12" lift yea ok, but a 6" lift aint **** to worry about. a true lift will correct all the things your affecting by lifting it. also you have better angles with a true lift than a leveling kit and body lift. for $100-300 difference do it the better way.

did you search for a thread like this just to make your first post in?

Everything is high right now and I don't see it changing anytime soon. If you're in the position to to even consider putting a lift and 35's on your truck, you're lucky.

I see you are Retired Navy... If there is an Air Force base near you, you can always use their Auto Hobby shop.. they all have lifts, and usually will have all the tools you will ever need.. And most of the guys that work there are ASE certified and know their stuff..

I just installed a Procomp kit with only hand tools, floor jack, jack stands and an angle grinder in my garage. It was actually pretty easier, much easier than I thought, it is a little difficult to do by yourself. I can say that because I did the entire lift myself with no outside assistance at all. I spent about $3800 for the complete lift, tires, tire mount and balance and alignment. I already had rims. I don't know where people are getting these crazy low prices installed but I think if you have some basic mechanical knowledge you will be fine. These new trucks are getting easier and easier to install lift kits on...
