05 2WD 6" Fabtech Basic Lift Shock replacement

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out what I can switch out the shock that came with the kit with. The part number for the Fabtech is FT30104, but I wasn't too pleased with the performance of the shock.
I have read a ton of threads and nothing really addresses this question exactly. I did notice some threads where the 4WD's have the same Fabtech part number for their 6" lift... I want to retain the same lift, because I will be replacing the 35" tires I have on it right now with another set of 35's.

I really don't want to spend the $1k + for the DirtLogic 2.5's. I like the idea of switching to a Billstien 5100, since in the past I have been very pleased with their products on other trucks. The only questions I have in regards to using the 5100's is, can I use the Fabtech shock perch (with the blue spacer looking thing), and do I need to get the 5100's that say 0" lift, or 0" to 2". I don't know if I kept the stock shock with the stock perch or not, if I did, they are hiding out in the rafters with 6 years of crap blocking my way. Or am I looking at the wrong solution all together?

Thanks for any help.

I think this thread answers my question about the struts: https://www.f150online.com/forums/su...en-5100-a.html

But I'm still looking for suggestions if anyone has them.

If anyone was interested, I went up to the 2.5 dirt logics for around $400 for the set, I'm installing them now, will get aligned tomorrow. The reason it was so hard to find, the new part number is FTS30104... it was pretty much my only option for the fronts with this kit. This new part tho is rebuildable, so they are a slightly better shock than the white things that came with the kit.

If any interest in pics, post that you wanna see em, if not, I'm not going thru the trouble.

I would like to see them if you could. I have a Fabtech 6" lift and I will replace the rears with Bilsteins but wanted some options for the front too.
