Worth it to pull a level to intall Adj. Bilsteins?

What do you guys think?

Is it worth it to pull out my 2.5" AS level on my 09 F150 to have a set of Adj. Bilstein 5100's installed?

After about 30,000miles on the level and no problems as of yet, I am thinking with the reviews guys are giving the ride of the Bilsteins, it might be a worth while investment. I run a fairly heavy tire, so I am sure I have stressed a few components by now. How much will the Bilsteins better the ride with heavy "clunky" tire?

I am also looking for run them at either 1.5" or 2". Take a little of the extreme geometry away while I'm at it.

What do you think?

howdy

My 2010 fx4 still has stock suspension. I plan on adding these bilsteins soon. I think you should go ahead and do it since your stock shocks are about done anyway.

WHat kind of tires are those?
How are they offroad?

I dont know if the shock are about done, as you say, but I suppose they could be.

Tires are 305-55-20 Mickey Thompson ATZ. Crap on grass, but great in dry and wet dirt. They do well in deep snow, sand and gravel as well.

Since my '09 4x4 UCAs with a 2" AS kit look like:
,
if I had the 2.5" kit, I would seriously consider swapping them for the Bilsteins. As I said in another post, I may swap out my 2" kit because I will be towing an 8000 lb trailer soon. I am first going to take out the 1" block I stacked on the back and put in Firestone air bags to see how level it sits with the minimum pressure. If it is still nose-high, I may do the swap.

I went this route. Started with 2" autospring spacers then replaced with Bilstein 5100's. The Bilsteins were a ball hair lower than 2" and compared to my AS spacer. Anyway, the Bilsteins are very nice shocks; they ride well and look fantastic. In my opinion, a no brainer...do it!
