wet clunk

Did anyone ever figure out the rear end clunk around corners when it's wet?
Example, when it's raining or after a car wash make a right turn and get a clunk then a left turn and get a clunk. The bed is empty and nothing rolling around in the cab. Spring bushings? Shaft play? 98 F150
