Procomp 6" lifts

How does this lift compare to the rest. Has any one had any issues with this lift. Are they difficult to install.Do they install true to the instructions. I just ordered the 6" K4143BMX And I just want to be sure I have a good product. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Got one on my 04. Many haters, but it did the job with low upfront investment and has never let me down. Great product IMO

if you instal it your self i would like to know how it goes. the only thing that i dont like about it and still has me wondering is when you cut off the driver side rear lower control arm mount and put a plate on the bottom sub frame mount and drill into the frame where its bolted too. i have never seen it in person and i have only read the instructions a million times. let me know how it turns out.

I ran the basic 6" pro comp for bout a year and a half with no complaints at all. Of course I didn't offroad it either so I couldn't tell you how it would hold up. I did the install with a buddy and it took us about a day and a half, but it was our first ifs lift. So I don't think that was too bad.

me and a buddy did the install ourselves but of course with a whole shop at our hands - lift, air tools ect...cuts back a lot of time - what I did was separate the parts that I was going to reuse then labeled and put them in zip lock bags so much easier on resemble.

The hardest part of the lift is cutting and drilling - don't make the mistake we did and used the wrong bolt for the drill hole - the front diff is a pain in the neck to put in and then put out.

The rear is quite easy - if I where u I would go ahead and order a AAL - the 2.5" block is not enough and if u load the bed up the rear end SAGS LOW -

I just added a 3" leaf and this is before and after

He explained that in his post. The first picture is the rear with the 3" block stacked on top of the factory 2" block. The lift comes made to where the rear sags a little. You have to either get a 6" block for the rear or install a 2"-3" AAL in the rear to have the truck sit level. The second picture he posted is after the 3" AAL and it sits level.

On my F-150 I removed the two stacked blocks and installed a 5.5" Tuff Country block. I also had a 2.5" AAL with the 2.5" spacer up front.

Block or no block

HighOn22's
Thanks for your info. I am new to this so I just want to be sure I do the right thing before I put this 6' procomp lift on. I see a lot off pic of the 6' pro comp lifts and some say they have a 3' block some 6' block and some do not have one at all and the truck looks level. So I am not sure if I should get a block to make it level because that is the look I want. Does the year make a difference because I have a brand new 2010 it will sit different. And if I do get a block what one should I get. Any input guys is very helpful to me right now as I am learning here.
