PLEASE HELP 06 front differential bracket weld broken at frame

My differential mounting bracket that is welded to the frame broke off today. Has anyone heard of this happening and how deep do I have to go as far as removing front end pieces to re-weld? Can I just re-weld this to the frame? Will it have to be in a very specific spot to be aligned with shaft? Will i damage it further if I drive it in 2wd untill repair is made? I have soo many questions?

I would think that you could just re-weld it back in the original spot.

06 broken differential bracket weld

That is what I plan to try. Any Ideas as to what parts need to come off to get to that spot on frame? As far as I can tell, The entire differential has to come out first. To get that out it looks like to Skid Plate, Wheels, Brakes, Rotors, Hub Assembly, CV Boots/Joints, Axle Shafts Etc. must all come off. I was hoping that i would not have been the first to experience this. Thanks for the input

Yes I do have pictures however you will have to be familiar with the location of the front differential to make sense of the photo. There is not very much space to get to or even see where the broken weld is located. The broken weld is in the center of the photo. I am trying to get the pictures from my phone on to the computer now

Great thanks. I have read on another forum of this happening, causing a clunk in the front diver side in 4wd when changing from forward and reverse, which is what mine is doing.

My email is ogarajef@luther.edu if you have problems downloading pics.

Thanks a ton
