Need help fiting 35s

the first thing i did when i got my truck was purchased a 3" ready lift level for a more aggressive look. Just recently i decided i need to get some off-road tires that are extremely agrressive with wheels. I bought 35.x12r20 nitto mud grapplers and 20x10 moto metal 951 chrome. I just put them on last weekend and they fit in the wheel wells good. My problem is they rub when im at 3/4 of a wheel turn on the bottem back part of front fendor. Where they rub is that bottem back corner on the edge where my fendors tuck under and are conected to the metal part where my running boards are bolted on. The little rub i get is on that corner where i cant trim as easy becouse of the metal........

Now i have to make a decision, I just spent a pretty penny on these wheels and tires and need to figure something out to give me a little extra clearance so they wont rub. PLEASE GIVE SUGGESTIONS THAT WONT COST ME ALOT OF MONEY.

I was looking at doing something like getting the 3" skyjacker suspension and putting my ready lift level on top. ALso maybe consider 3" body lift if i have to

Well I don't know if you want to do this but a lot of people will just cut where it rub the plastic parts that usually fixes the rubbing

Why not just trim the metal? and if you trim too much that it wont hold you running boards then see if you can make your own little piece to bolt it on a little bit back.

Only thing I can think of is a body lift. Lift is about $250, but install on our year trucks is pricey. I paid almost a $1000 for install. If you are mechanically able, then install should be pretty easy, its just time consuming.

Your problem is that you should have done your homework before you went and spent a ton of money on the wrong setup. With just a level kit you have way too aggressive of tires in 35" along with too wide of rim and not enough backspace. You can trim all day and that thing is going to rub the fenders to pieces. A body lift or full suspension lift are your only two options which neither are cheap.

They only rub on 3/4 wheel turn. and where they rub is very small probaby the bottem 1.5" of fendor. its not so bad, i just want a little more wheel turn thats all and dont want to spend 1500$ or more for a 6" or 4" lift

Dog'em is right. Your options are, install 33 inch tires, add a body lift or add a full 6 inch suspension lift.

I'd vote a 3" body, but you are still going to look at spending some $$ if you have it installed. If you can do it yourself it is alot cheaper route to go and you will save your ride of nearly stock suspension.

I had a 2.5'' leveling kit on my 06' with 35/12.50/17 mud grapplers with 17x10 wheels with 4.5'' backspacing and trimmed enough without any rubbing whatsoever, it just consisted of trimming some inner fender and metal but if done right will look good and not be too noticable. About the doing the homework before, maybe he did or chose the wheels with a little less bs not knowing how far they would stick out, I didn't do my homework when I chose my setup I had simply because I wanted the wide stance and didn't worry about making it fit

Added stress yes but I went 70,000+ miles on the setup on my black 06' and they didn't fall apart, I simply changed both iwe's when I heard the infamous grinding and a set of tierod ends also. He'll learn eventually that it pay's to play.

I was rubbing 37s on those same wheels with an 8" lift. A 20x10 wheel with a -18 offest is WAY TOO MUCH for a 3" lift and 35s. I downsized and ran 35s for a year with my 8" lift on my 951s. I wanted to drop the truck down to 6", but I would have rubbed those 35s just like the 37s. Im back on 37s with 20x9 BMFs which are 0 offset and have no issues. If you like the 951s, sell your current ones and get the 20x9's with an +18 offset.
